小提琴

小提琴是一种表情丰富的弦乐器，它除了能表达优美如诗般的情感外，亦能拉奏出澎湃、扣人心弦的气势。在大部份的管弦乐曲中，小提琴均担当一个相当重要的位置。
小提琴的前身是十五世纪的古提琴"viole da braccio"，一种放在肩上用弓拉奏的弦乐器。至于制造小提琴的发源地，最著名的首推十六世纪意大利的克来摩纳(Cremona)。当地的著名小提琴制造家包括意大利人阿玛娣(Niccolo Amati 1596-1684)、史塔第发利(Antonio Stradivari 1644-1737)与瓜内里(Giuseppe Guarneri 约1666-1740)。
演奏小提琴除了用弓拉奏之外，间中亦以手指弹拨弦线，这技巧称为拨弦("pizzicato")。
