Today I was really happy——I went to his department after class, for the first time.
At the very beginning I intend to ask him do me a favor to help me select some English books in the new library , but things changed later because of some freshman from fine arts academy called “youyou”(I am not quite certain about that, but ,who cares! I am not quite like her, she gave me the first impression of sort of snobbish ).besides, I really have to say that her spoken English is not a little terrible, much worse than you can imagine. Nevertheless I think high of her courage as well as strong-will——put myself in her shoes, I simply can’t take such boldest step as open my mouth and talk to a foreigner and even think of making friends with him or her.
Okay return to my adventure again. Primarily he is a painter indeed! I did find out that he does have talents in painting during one class “game”(we pose a topic such as “a tiger in the woods” or “two shrimps fighting” and then he draw it on the blackboard, his drawings were positively impressive).
It’s not at all surprising that he is eager for his familiar canvas ,easel ,paint----I know nothing about that until he showed me his newly sketch which lay on his bed at random, it is a head portrait about a Chinese lady.
Luckily we found someone in the college to take us to the art shop to buy the materials. He is a nice guy but surprising though being a graduate he cannot communicate with an English speaker freely! As a result I played the role as his translator.
Finally we got everything a painter need. The new friend gave us a riding back to the campus .thanks to him we don’t have to walk a long way with a heavy burden in the tiny rain.
He offered me a cup of LongJing tea, a specialty from my hometown
Happy times never stay long. We walked to the lake bund where his motorbike stopped, which I got off several hours ago.
He rode away to west, I walked away to east.
