Yesterday I changed the background music in my blog.It's the theme song of the Oscar film "Out of Africa" and the leading actress is of course my favourite Hollywood star Meryl Streep! Compared with "Bridges of the Madison County",I prefer this film better because of her charming appearance including those unique clothes, hair style as well as the powerful background music, take the moods of audiences to Hellen's world——"I have a farm in Africa……"
The movie was set in 1913's Africa, Kenya. Hellen was a rich Danish, but failed in her love with the Duke .Angrily, she took all of her packages by train to Nairobi to marry her lover's brother. However ,the marriage turned out to be a totally misyake as she didn't love him nor he loved her.
Soon the world war broke out and her man went to the front ,leaving her alone with the farm and black servants .
Though being a slender young lady, Hellen was strong-minded. She run the farm heart and soul and make all her acts together.What'more ,she even took full of a carriage of food and other stuffs which the soldiers need to the battle field, obstacled a lot of incredible difficulties including whip away a lion!and at this point ,I found some what resemble things to Scarly, The protagonist of the famous work "Gone with the wind",both determined ladies!
Later she met her mr.right in her life----Danys----a excellent guy ,full of energy ,wisdom ,had a keen interest in driving helicopters ,and the most important of all, he loved her very much .
But things never go as people have wished them to be. And maybe it's a joke played by God and both of them were tricked.just befor the havest of her coffee trees, a big fire destroyed everything, both the crops as well as her dreams. Meanwhile,Danys died from a flying. It seems all the good old days have gone with the night wind at once .at last ,Hellen went back Danmark ,by herself……
With no money ,no love ,no marriage, no child, no dream , all by herself ,and the unfade memories ——"I have a farm in Africa"
