Acid Jazz（迷幻爵士）诞生于1990年代初英国DISCO舞厅的电子音乐，似乎越来越成为爵士乐复兴的一个载体：让爵士乐重新回到舞池里。越来越多的爵士乐手加入到Acid Jazz阵营里，而越来越多的电子音乐制作人也开始越来越爵士化了。
其中，Us3的Hand on the Torch据说是Blue Note历史上最畅销的唱片，大概也是Acid Jazz中最畅销的一张了。首张单曲“Cantaloop (Flip Fantasia)”使Herbie Hancock原作 “Cantaloop”成了街知巷闻的热门旋律。（凤凰卫视李辉的那个什么节目的版头就是用Cantaloop）
