Blue Note唱片，成立于公元1939年，到2003年，故事还在继续。他们自己也标榜着：自西元1939年以来，最棒的爵士乐品牌〈The Finest Jazz Since 1939〉。截至前年，他们所出版过的最棒专辑里的最棒曲目，基本上都在这张选辑里。分Classic Notes(CD1)和Contemporary Notes(CD2)两张。
相对于第一张里面的老古董，我更青睐第二张“现代之音”。不仅有电音高手St Germain、Marc Moulin、Us3，更有Cassandra Wilson、Dianne Reeves、Norah Jones这些美丽的女声。
