在女主角凯丽（Carrie）的婚礼上，加雷斯（Gareth）心脏病突发去世，
这段文字节选于他的同性恋爱人马修（Matthew）在他葬礼上的致辞。
精神恋爱本无禁忌，没有性的冲动，或许更能超越于动物本能之上，

As for me, you may ask how I will remember him, what I thought of him. 
Unfortunately,there I run out of words.

Let the airplanes circle, moaning overhead ...scribbling on the sky the message: He is dead.
 Put great bows around the white necks of the public doves. 
Let traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves. He was my north, my south, my east and west;
 my working week and my Sunday rest; my noon, my midnight, my talk, my song.
 I thought that love would last forever ...I was wrong. The stars are not wanted now ...
put out every one. Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun. Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood. 
For nothing now can ever come to any good."
