专辑里有一半以上是改编的别人的歌曲，如the Vaselines的 "Jesus Doesn't Want Me for a Sunbeam" ， Meat Puppets II的"All Apologies"，"Something in the Way."，David Bowie的"The Man Who Sold the World" 和那首民谣经典"Where Did You Sleep Last Night"试听 。在当时Kurt Cobain已经极度不稳定的心理状态下，这些作品都被包裹上了浓重的哀伤与无奈情绪，听起来好象就是 Nirvana自己做的歌一样。不管怎么样，这是一张死去的人的最后殇情，值得一再的回味它的美。
