Mariah Carey 玛丽娅·凯莉 
　　1970年3月27日，Mariah Carey出生于纽约的长岛。Mariah Carey的名字就源自于歌剧 Paint Your Wagon 中 They Call the Wind Mariah 一歌。Mariah 的母亲是爱尔兰人 ， 而她的父亲则是个委内瑞拉籍的美洲黑人。她有一个哥哥 Morgan 和一个姐姐 Alison 。 
　　1987年 Mariah 从港田高中毕业后，就开始了她的歌唱生涯。为了追逐自己的梦想，她搬去了纽约住，和另外两个女孩合租一个很小的套间。为了谋生，Mariah当过女服务生，衣帽间管理员，餐馆招待，还做过发廊助手。终于，她找到一分差事：歌手Brenda K. Starr的和声歌手。
