这一长串的引用均出自或脱胎于约翰·多恩（John Donne）的诗《跳蚤》。部分为网上翻译，部分为我自己翻译。
不知道是作者对原诗记得不清楚，还是她有意做了改动，有两句引用与原文是有出入的，但意思基本没有变。像第三句原文为：A sinne, or shame, or losse of maidenhead，大意为：是一桩罪过，或耻辱，或处女膜的破失。奥兰多没有说完最后半句，所以他在下面又接着问维戈“我们之间是不是存在着处女膜？”
约翰·多恩（1572-1631）是英国玄学派诗歌的代表人物，他的诗歌里往往充满了哲理论辩和新词怪喻。
我自己觉得这首诗是非常有意思的，把爱情比作跳蚤，男女双方通过跳蚤的盯咬，最终血液在跳蚤体内结合，来象征婚前的肉体之爱。这诗真的是意象另类，作风大胆，让咄咄逼人的奥兰多引用起来真是非常合适。

阿瑟·米勒Arthur Miller（1915年——2005年），美国著名剧作家，写过《推销员之死》，我说他曾娶过玛丽莲·梦露是不是更有助于大家想起这人是谁啊XD
《炼狱》这部剧作后来由他的女儿瑞贝卡·米勒和女婿丹尼尔·戴·刘易斯拍成过电影。我自己没看过，据看过的dongdong同学讲，好像看得挺难受的，具体如何难受法就不得而知了。
