When analyzing the relationship between psychological education and moral education, the academic projected us a photograph on the screen which caused quite a stir. A black Sudanese child, reduced to a skeleton buried his face in the ground with the hands, kneeling and dead. Around him was some sparse withering grass. What a depressing sight! It was so touching and heart-shattering that my eyes were immersed in tears. Pour little one he had to confront Death by himself lonely without love and fraternity which, to him, were luxurious on the earth. He may be surrendering to impoverishment and hunger, or probably, praying to god deeply in his heart for livability.
Too many counterparts were eyeing, pitying and putting a merciful and sorrow face. Their sentiment was soothed as the sight was vanishing. Of course, it was not a question for thought. That is why it can’t attract deeper attention and further thought. However, how many people can take it as a question for thought and think it over and over? Visualize millions of African people are being tortured by diseases, racialism, hunger, drought and poverty ? Visualise thousands of families exterminated by colossal tsunami are homeless? Visualize some peaceful land becomes a bloody purgating and ruins because of outrageous and cruel invasion of some so-called world power? Just visualize. Countless people in the world are still in deep water.
Are we disposed to be of the number of those who ,having eyes, see not ,having ears, hear not, the things who so easily stir us in the hearts? If not, don’t shut our hearts against painful truths ,but let’s face the reality, splashing love ,friendship and fraternity. Look at ourselves, by campansion ,we live relatively in harmony which many of us take for granted. Even some keep complaining without cause. Why don’t we seek today to meet our promise tomorrow? Why not expand our ambition to establish a more prosperous and civilized motherland on the way to a peaceful world?
Cheer up, my dear counterpants, and translate your pity into momentum!
